The guys and girls in the Game Star(t) Club keep moving on to new levels

GAMESTAR(T) is a project started by the collective ArsGames, dedicated to thought and experimentation with videogames. Professionals, artists, researchers, students… who work in fields related to the study of videogaming in its educational, cultural, economic and artstic aspects.
This gaming space, designed for and by the children who take part in the Club, christened by they themselves as GameStar(t) Club, is theory put into practice in the tradition of pedagogy and with an emphasis on active and participatory research and community and online work.
The Club meets every Wednesday from 5.30pm to 8.30pm and every Saturday from 11am to 2pm at Intermediae and benefits from the participation of teachers, artists and researchers from the gaming world. As well as playing, these meetings are also used to do workshops and other activities and to make decisions about the rules of the club and how it is to work. This space, dedicated to gaming, learning, reflection and discussion also serves, according to its original intent, as a pilot program that will help inform those creating the future Gameteca, a "library" housing games and videogames.
