HERE TOGETHER NOW

Within the framework of FOCUS TURKEY, Matadero Madrid proposes an exercise in community creation between Turkish and Spanish cultural agents.  From January 7 to March 3, artists Sibel Horada, Ïz Öztat, Dilek Winchester, and Yasemin Nur will get together at Nave 16.1 to create a dialogue with several local cultural producers. This meeting aims to put into practice new modes for artistic interpretation, exhibition, and production that go beyond the status quo of exhibition formats, based on the work of these Turkish artists.   Here Together Now  aspires to be an experimental project involving the idea of community as a place for creating personal relationships and for creating possible solutions to the pressing matters of precariousness, crises, intimacy, and social change that characterize our current society.
