HITO PRESENTS OTO

Ever since 2012, Hito, the superstar of Japanese electronic music, has been one of the regular artists in the Richie Hawtin presents ENTER nights at Space Ibiza, an event that won the DJ Award for the Best Night in Ibiza on two consecutive years. During these parties, always dressed in silk kimonos, Hito has won over the guests in the ENTER.Sake zone, a room inspired by a Japanese sake bar, with his 100% vinyl, advanced electronic sessions.
Born in Japan, she moved to Berlin in 1999 where he developed her passion for music. Seduced by the scene in the German capital, she has been DJ in different underground clubs in the city such as Suicide Circus or Fiese Remise, and in Womb (Tokyo) and Circus (Osaka) in her native Japan. She has also had audiences dancing at the BPM Festival in Portugal, Tomorrowland in Belgium, Sonus and ULTRA / Resistance in Croatia. In August, she began her own series of OTO events in IPSE in Berlin.

Hito´s sonic proposal will be complemented with works created by the Japanese visual artist Itaru Yasuda. Based in Berlin, he has worked with the greatest names in electronic music in places such as the Guggenheim Museum New York, the Sydney Opera House, Sonar Barcelona, Coachella, Time Warp, MUTEK Montreal or ARMA17 in Moscow. He designs, programmes, and creates visuals to explore to the rhythm of electronic music, guiding the public to what is a total experience of the senses. His visual compositions can range from minimalist 2D graphics on a white background to complex 3D structures full of colour.  “In recent years, my mother began taking images of landscapes, mainly flowers and birds, that she comes across in her neighbourhood of Nara (near to Kyoto). These images that are so Japanese and so familiar to me, have inspired me and I think they can serve as a challenge to and as a natural union with the strong presence of Hito”, the artist tells us.
As part of Hito´s show, DJ Pelacha will perform as opening artist. Pelacha is one of the most charismatic and internationally recognized Djs from our country. Shes been resident in Madrid clubs that have marked a before and after like Consulado, Epsilon, Arena, Davai, Surface (Sala Groove)... besides this, she has been promotor in the famed club One (Sala De Nombre Público) for nine years and in Audium for three. She has been in gigs in Spain at clubs like Fabrik, Macumba, La Real , Octopus, Moog, Blau, Pagoa, Basik, Orosco, Family Club, Zeus, Metro Dance Club and many others. Worldwide Pelacha has played two times in Awakenings Festival (Netherlands), Final Flash City (Slovenia), Hardhouse (Chez Republic), Boomerang Festival (Slovakia), and in club like Ambassada Gaviolo (Slovenia), Cazin (Austria), U-Club (Slovakia), Poema (Netherlands), Zyon (Netherlands), Patronaat (Netherlands), Rex (Paris), Tresor (Berlin), La Ruche (Switzerland), Salotto (Austria)..... Actually she´s part of Phrenetic´s Agency roster.
