Home Economics, a crisisRus/laptopsRus project, revisits the floor plan of any given home to expand on the notion of home as micro-political space and a networked node. Taking up home management as a field of study to include the home-seeking refugees who struggle to make homes in new lands, the mobile generation who takes up domestic and networked spaces to consider collective living and the home-renewal movements that modify ways of production and consumption in our daily cycle and recycle.   Day 1/ Making Home - home with the refugees
Seeking 'confort zone' for living side by side at 'home' with newly arrived refugees.

Day 2/  Home away from home - home with networkers
Investigating networked way of living to devise the economy and domestic life strategies.

Day 3/ Home made home - home with tool kits
examining  re-use strategies and object exploitation in domestic contexts.   LaptopsRus/CrisisRus is organized by Maite Cajaraville, Shu Lea Cheang & Lucía Egaña Rojas laptopsrus.me   contact: now@laptopsrus.me
