Wajdi Mouawad is an arsonist. But one like a fabulous phoenix that reborns from its own ashes. Incendies speaks of that rebirth, of fires that sometimes you have to sow, the terrible path that is often necessary to follow before you know yourself. A woman has just died and today she opens the door to her silence and her secrets. She leaves her twins a suit of green fabric, a red notebook and two envelopes that act like two Pandora's boxes: their content is going to drag them to a fabulous odyssey, to a distant continent, to an unknown past, to a second birth.
