Inni is the second film of Sigur Rós live, following the huge success of Heima in 2007. While the previous film places the enigmatic group in the context of Iceland, their country of origin, providing geographical, social and historical perspectives on their extraordinary music, Inni focuses exclusively on the band’s performance. The French Canadian film-maker Vincent Morisset (Arcade Fire, Miroir Noir) is capable of capturing Sigur Rós live as artistically and intimately as possible. He weaves archive material of the band ten years ago with images of sometimes low-key, sometimes intense concerts. Inni is a persuasive story about one of the most famous, influential rock bands of the last few years.
