Juego de Espías (Game of Spies) is set in 1940, a time when Spain was suffering the harsh aftermath of a bloody civil war and Europe was in the middle of WWII. British Intelligence chose the border crossing at Canfranc international station (Huesca) to gather and exchange vital information regarding the war. It set up a network of spies from the Basque Country, Aragon and France who reported on German troop movements as well as on freight (gold seized by the Nazis) that was entering and leaving Spain.
