The play’s events unfold in Hope, a trial halfway between Heaven and Hell, where an attorney moves to reopen the case of the “greatest sinner in history”, Judas Iscariot.

Other characters appear throughout the trial: Mother Teresa, Satan, Jesus, Freud, Pontius Pilate, Mary Magdalene, etc.

Blame, mercy, freedom, hope, love, and the struggle between good and evil are tackled in the text, delivering up a witty and surprising mix of comedy, tragedy, drama, farce and tragicomedy.
