L.E.V. is born. Matadero, a new electronic festival for Madrid. The Visual Electronics Laboratory (L.E.V. in its Spanish initials) has been held for the past thirteen years in Gijón. It’s now extending its field of action to Madrid where it will take place for the first time with different proposals and content. The festival will explore the avant-garde world of contemporary digital creativity through audiovisual shows, concerts, performances, installations, sound experiences and hybrid projects in the field of audiovisual composition that breathe life into new narratives and formats.

Organised by Matadero Madrid in co-production with Cineteca Madrid (Film Archive) and the Datatron platform, it will feature artists such as Morton Subotnick accompanied by Alec Empire and Lillevan, Francisco López, Aisha Devi, Ryoichi Kurokawa, Plaid, SPIME.IM, Sega Bodega, Tensal, HP, Emptyset, Nkisi, Charlie Hope, Kelly Moran, Alessandro Cortini, Eli Keszler, Nate Boyce, James Ferraro, Ikonika, Myriam Bleau, Sr. Mitch, Bvdub, Babii, Skygaze, Hidden Jayeem, Lucie Antunes and Push 1 stop & Wiklow, among others.   > More info: levfestival.com
