LOS PASOS DOBLES (THE DOUBLE STEPS)

When you are being chased, the best way to get away without leaving a trace is to walk backwards, in your own footprints.  Or at least that is what François Augiéras thinks.  He left paintings all over the inside of his military bunker in the desert before allowing it to sink into the ever-encroaching sand in the hope that no one would find it until the 21st century.  But who is Augiéras?  Legionnaire, painter, writer, pistoleer, saint, thief, devil or a bit of everything?  The film's director, Isaki Lacuesta- awarded the Golden Shell at the 2011 San Sebastián International Film Festival- will appear at a screening  at Matadero Madrid on October 19.
