A documentary that follows the artist as she prepares for what might be the most important moment of her life: a major retrospective of her work at the Museum of Modern Art of New York
Seductive, brave, daring.  Marina Abramović has redefined performance art in the last forty years.  With her body, this Serbian artist creates provocative work that leaves no one indifferent.  This documentary follows the artist as she prepares for what might be the most important moment of her life: a major retrospective of her work at the Museum of Modern Art of New York.   Matthew Akers was the producer and director of photography for the six-part documentary Circus, and worked as producer and camera operator on the series, Carrier, the recipient of a 2008 Emmy.  He has been the director of photography on many documentaries, among them Lemon, Back in the Hood: Gang War II, Heir to an Execution and Elaine Stritch: At Liberty.  Jeff Dupre, together with Maro Chermayeff, is partner of the production company, Show of Force, which produces the documentary series, Half the Sky, for PBS.  His ópera prima as a director, Out of the Past, took the public's prize for best documentary at Sundance in 1998.  In celebration of their fiftieth anniversary, Amnesty International asked him to produce and direct the short film AI50.  He has also worked as executive producer, creator, and director of the series Circus and Carrier, and produced Broadway: The American Musical, a series directed by Michael Kantor.
