Presented at the Sundance Film Festival and in the last edition of the Sitges Festival, this documentary is a portrait of Chris Crocker, who became famous on Youtube for the phrase that was launched in defence of his idol, Britney Spears: “Leave Britney alone!”. The slogan became so popular on the web that it was the subject of tributes, parodies and remixes of all kinds and came to be one of the most recognised viral phenomena on the internet. Chris Crocker became a prominent figure on the web: a famous 2.0, addicted to publicly exposing snippets of his life, whose complex personality is now a subject to be studied.
Directors Chris Moukarbel has directed several shorts about representation in the age of the internet, among others are World Trade Center (2006); this is his first feature length film. Valerie Veatch is a Young filmmaker, who also debuts in Me @ the Zoo and is in the process of preparing her next documentary, Love Child.
