Two essential figures of contemporary culture close the season. Music, literature, and thought converge in a staged conference led by two artists committed to visibility and research within their respective disciplines. Nave 10 brings them together on stage to offer us the possibility—as a final celebration—of the unexpected.
Paul B. Preciado is an art curator, writer, and philosopher, renowned for his contributions to gender studies. He has brought forth forceful insights on trans issues, such as dysphoria, the pharmaceutical industry, and the construction of identity. His writing is unmistakable. El Niño de Elche heads the radio program eXtrañas heterodoXias; for some time now, this multidisciplinary artist has defined himself as "ex-flamenco," despite his exquisite training and talent, blending genres such as improvisation, electronic music, and theater in his work. His voice is unmistakable. Both creators, specialists in stripping away labels and conventions, offer us a staged experience—a hybrid format, a conference at Nave 10—that also serves to strip away the label of what is conventionally theatrical.
