10am SEIS PUNTOS SOBRE EMMA [Six Things About Emma]
Roberto Pérez Toledo / 87" / 2011 / Spain

Emma is nearly thirty years old and, though she is blind, she is haunted by her desire to become a mother.  When she discovers that her boyfriend will never be able to get her pregnant, she breaks up with him and sets off on a search for the perfect spermatozoid.  Without love, without feelings.  It seems easy, but it's not long before she realizes that her blindness doesn't affect only her eyes.

2pm STOCKHOLM
Rodrigo Sorogoyen del Amo / 85" / 2012 / Spain

One night, at a nightclub, you see a girl and you fall head over heels for her.  You tell her, but she doesn't give you the time of day.  You try again and you manage to spend the rest of the night with her.  She gives you a chance and you end up in bed with her.  What if, the next day, she turns out to be different than she seemed?  One night, at a nightclub, you're tired and you're approached by the typical guy who says he's in love with you.  You tell him to get lost, but he keeps at it.  You realize that he's not the typical guy- he's funny, charming, and he happens to be in love with you.  You think you like him and you end up agreeing to spend the night with him.  What if, the next day, he turns out to be different than he seemed?

Javier Botet, Javier Fesser, David Galán Galindo, Roberto Pérez / 110" / 2013 / Spain

Four episodes in which the end of the world comes as a function of the different ways directors have of understanding film: in a humorous way or with a lot of action, whether it be a thriller, a drama, or a romantic film.  And so we see together a psychopathic killer faced with the need to finalize his master plan; a violent battle to gain access to some suppoosed bunkers that would mean salvation; an invasion by romantic types caught up in a desperate search for the love of their life, and a pregnant woman about to give birth to the planet's last baby.

10p  CARMINA O REVIENTA [Carmina Or It'll Blow]
Paco León / 71" / 2012 / Spain

Carmina is a 58 year old woman who runs a shop in Seville where she sells products from the Iberian peninsula.  After dealing with several robberies and receiving no assistance from her insurance company, she makes up her own way of getting the money back so that she can keep her family afloat.  While waiting for her plan to pan out, she looks back on her life, her work, and her miracles in the kitchen at her house.
