Life in a small city resembles a voyage through the steppes: the feeling that something “new and different” will emerge from behind each hill, but the same monotonous, lengthy roads, whether disappearing or persisting, always end up looking the same… The most recent film by influential Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, who won the Grand Prix at Cannes 2011.
