Peru's Pavilion won the second prize at the Biennale Architecture in Venice 2016 proposing an unpreceded action towards the balanced encounter between the ancestral Amazonic world and the occidental modernity.

The architectonic proposal of the Pavilion reaches a flexible modular solution, considering weather conditions and respecting the Amazonic way of life, thus dignifying a historicaly neglected population and it builds up a space for this meaningful cultural transformation.

Peru has long been considered as a border to conquer or as a region to preserve in its natural state. The fight now is to protect de Amazonic forest through education, empowering the indigenous comunities to be custodians of their territories.

This exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Education of Peru, within the Plan Selva Project.
