PALABRAS MÁGICAS (PARA ROMPER UN ENCANTAMIENTO)

Sandino's ashes were scattered in Lake Managua.  Will the container by converted by its contents?  Lake Xolotlán is possessed by him - by Sandino.  If this is true, then this lake is also all of Managua, since all of the city's waste water drains here, and all of our waste has ended up here.  Palabras Mágicas [Magic Words] is the emotional perspective provided by documentary filmmaker Mercedes Moncada on the Nicaraguan Revolution.  The film was presented at the the Guadalajara International Film Festival (Mexico) and at the San Sebastián International FIlm Festival.  
About the director: With her feature-length documentary La pasión de María Elena [The Passion of María Elena] (2003), Mercedes Moncada Rodríguez won the award for Best Mexican Feature at the Guadalajara International Film Festival and several prizes at other international festivals.  In January 2005 she completed work on the feature-length documentary El inmortal [The Immortal], shown at the Berlinale, at San Sebastián (Horizontes Latinos) and at Sundance, as well as at other festivals, and chosen as Best Ibero-American Feature-Length Documentary at Guadalajara.  La sirena y el buzo [The Mermaid and the Diver], her previous film, premiered at The International Forum of New Cinema – Berlinale, in 2009.
