Disco's parkings were and still are places where many spend more time and have more fun than in the actual disco. A parked car could become a bed, a changing room, a disco on the go, a fridge, a dance floor and a meeting point.
This project by Paula García-Masedo and Andrea González, selected through public call convocatoria pública VIVAC for La Plaza en Verano 2017, uses “parkineo”, name by which this phenomenon was known, to investigate and talk about this way of gathering and all that can or can't happen around it (you can park, you can dance, you can turn the music up, you can eat, drink… You can do almost anything and there's very few rules about what you can't do). Lorenzo García Andrade is in charge of the music for Parkineo.
