"Dreaming. Counting dreams, sharing life. Growing up painlessly. Stopping the suffering spread from one generation to the next. What hurts you the most? Who are the monsters that await in your sleep? Four characters and an intruder conjured up by a dream at the beach house. The same summer as any year". Thus the director Andrés Lima presents us the latest stage offering by Animalario (Premio Nacional de Teatro, 2005).
Alberto San Juan, Guillermo Toledo, Natalie Poza and Luis Bermejo (a smaller cast than in other productions by Animalario) are the actors who deliver these lines from the dramaturgs (in collaboration with the theater company) Juan Cavestany and Juan Mayorga, augering the return of Animalario to the Naves del Español at Matadero Madrid, after Tito Andrónico.
Begun in the company's group work workshops- now classic- Penumbra embarks us on a journey of the most personal nature, digging deep in the feelings brought up by a disturbing question: what hurts you most?
Penumbra is the thirteenth show by Animalario, a company that needs no introduction after fourteen years of stage work, which gaves us productions such as Urtain, Marat-Sade, Argelino servidor de dos amos, Hamelin and Alejandro y Ana….
