Financial crises and waves of refugees, social inequality and ecological catastrophes, terrorism and war... Western civilisation is like a runaway train heading straight for a solid wall. And at the controls are governments apparently incapable of solving people's problems. Aren't they actually part of the problem? Are there any alternatives?

Projekt A is a documentary contradicting the typical clichés on anarchy and makes one thing clear: another world is possible. Whether it's in the Athens district of Exarchia, with its anarchist influences; protest actions against nuclear power in Germany; the CGT, the world's biggest anarchic trade union, in Spain, or projects run by Catalan cooperative CIC and the Kartoffelkombinat group in Munich, also a cooperative.

These activists put forward their idea of living independently from the State and its structures, based on equal rights and with the aim of achieving a public-spirited and community-based economy.

Projekt A puts an alternative view of the world on the table and shows some anarchic views about life and joint action. A kind of society in which nobody should have the power to control knowledge, natural resources, the land or other people.
