This composition explores the phenomenon of birth from a global perspective, with seventy volunteer dancers of different ages.
This composition explores the phenomenon of birth from a global perspective, turning our attention to the essential processes that happen in nature, listening to our most immediate place in it, without trying to control or dominate it, and begun using natural tools: our bodies, our voice, wind, sunlight...

This project came about after ten days of work with a group of ten dancers and was presented at Ventana de la Danza 2011, in the central patio of the Conde Duque center.  After its debut the company received an invitation from the National Theater of Chaillot and the Parisian festival Quartier d´Été to coproduce the piece with seventy dancers in the French capital.  The company, as part of its determination to continue working and performing in Madrid, has been able to complete the first phase of work and rehearsals for this project in its home city, which will lead to a final performance exactly like the one they will put on in Paris.

The dance troupe is made up of seventy volunteers between sixteen and ninety years of age: people of all ages and having different conditions who at some moment in their lives have had or continue to have some connection to dance and who, therefore, are interested in participating with Sharon Fridman in a twelve-day working process.  This generational range is intended to reflect society's dimensions.
