QUIEN CANTA SU MAL ESPANTA (the one who sings its evil frightens), by Virginia García del Pino.
It is said that our ancestors communicated through singing before they could speak. Quien canta su mal espanta is a collective work where citizen participation is encouraged. It consists of two opposite microphones for anyone to sing like in a Karaoke, where one mike offers happy songs and memories and the other mike offers melancholic sad songs. Duets are also encouraged. Microphones alternate voices in different ways and their users may experiment with the aid of a computer that offers different tones and voices to chose from.
Everyone is invited to sing, no skills required, the point is to have a good time singing and make the most of the experience, like a professional singer.
DISCOLAND
All partners have a say in a brainstorm. Discoland, is a proposal where two Djs meet and contest in a sort of ping-pong set with their favorite songs. Their style and songs they chose don't have much in common but they find the way to spread their enthusiasm on the crowd from their sets.
Discoland is also conceived as a battle field where creativity, spontaneity, anger or disagreement take place. A space where people can feel at home dancing and solving their riddles immerse in a sensory togetherness, set in the most important battle field of all: the pub, the disco, the street, the square. Discoland offers as well a chance to the silent speaker in order to let others be heard. There's two megaphones for the crowd to become Mcs(masters of ceremonies).
