RADIO KOBANÎ / FIND FIX FINISH
RADIO KOBANÎ (Reber Dosky / Holland / 2016 / 68')
Dilovan, a Kurdish 20 years old girl, builds up a radio station in the devastated city of Kobane, Syria, during the fight for freedom from the Islamic State. Dilovan's programs, where she interviews survivors, refugees, returnees, fighters and poets, give meaning to the broken lives of listeners, who need to rebuild the city and their future. Dilovan tells her own story in a letter to the son she might one day have. The film was shot in a period of three years during the war and the reconstruction of Kobane. Radio Kobanî is a bitter-sweet story, an intimate and poetical cure of a trauma, hope and love.

FIND FIX FINISH (Mila Zhluktenko, Sylvain Cruiziat / Germany / 2017 / 20')
“In Afganistan, I saw a couple making love on a roof top”: we know very little about the everyday work of pilots who carry out “selective killings” with military drones. Three americans agreed to testify on voice off about their experience, which is ironically full of intimacies and cruelty. The aerial images could have even been taped by them, to Find, Fix and Finish.
