Rafael Amargo dances alone for the first time surrounded by brilliant musicians and cantaores.

On the stage, silence and some boots... we hear el Poema del Amargo (Amargo's poem)… The musicians begin to play and Amargo to dance: the dreaminess of it all turns into reality, dance, passion, flamenco.
Amargo in his purest state, up-close and personal, wanted to work alone with the excitement, to work his skin to the bone dancing and his expose his soul.  Intense to the point of exhaustion, courageous and penet, surrounded by brilliant musicians and cantaores*.  But after all, alone: Solo…and Amargo*.
Featuring a new wardrobe made just for the occasion, (with the help of Javier Candas of Sequel), and the master flautist Juan Parrilla, accompanied by cajón*, electric cello, guitar, accordion, piano and two cantaores, Rafael Amargo embarks on a tour de force, alone on stage for the first time in his extensive career.
Stripped of adornment and artifice, he gives free rein to his overwhelming talent, far and beyond flamenco, leaving no one indifferent, inspiring a visibly moved audience.  Not to be missed.     SOLO y AMARGO   A PERFORMANCE BY Rafael Amargo MUSICAL DIRECTION Juan Parrilla   RAFAEL AMARGO CHOREOGRAPHER AND BAILAOR*   MUSICIANS Batio, strings Antoñito Maya, cajón Maite Maya, Cantaora Pedro Obregón / Saul Quirós, Cantaor Mario Montoya, Guitar Juan Pedro Cornejo / Jesús Pérez de la Cruz “Cuco” piano and accordion Juan Parrilla, flute   Wardrobe Javier Candas (Sequel) Lighting Pato Bessia Lighting technician Xavier Arana Sound Marc Romagosa Stage management Julián Alcántara   Mise en scène Montse Tixé   A Elsinor y Cajón de Ideas PRODUCTION
