RAYO

This autumn, Cineteca (Film Archive) and Matadero Madrid present the first edition of RAYO, a four-day festival that straddles the fields of the visual and the sonorous, and their many points of intersection. The festival was born to provoke and produce audiovisual hybridisations in which artists from different disciplines work together to create a new stage piece.

Curated by Pedro Portellano and the Cineteca Madrid team, RAYO's programme is made up of visual artists, musicians, filmmakers, sound artists, VJs, performers, 3D creators... Artists who come from different backgrounds and who will present collaborative pieces at the festival with which they transform their work and take it beyond their own limits, creating unique experiences for the public. Artists of the stature of Pedro Costa, Peaches&Pussykrew, Rosa Barba, Yamila, Robert Lippok and Bruce McClure are taking part in this first edition.
