Matadero Madrid center for contemporary creation
presentation of three pieces that are part of the collective project of the Atlas of Disappearance Platform, treated from the visual arts and documentary performance. These pieces address the state violence manifested in the transfers to the Valley of the Fallen.
During his year of situated research, Manuel Correa has facilitated the creation of the Office of Documentary Research, a transdisciplinary research collective committed to advancing documentary research practices, which will screen several works:
- "Mercado de Abastos de Calatayud" was used as a detention center from 1936 to the early 1940s, and a speculative 3D reconstruction seeks to keep alive the memory of those who suffered there.
- The initiative "Audioguide: Memory of Griñón during the Spanish Civil War" seeks to rescue the historical memory of the town, presenting an audio guide that recounts the historical events of the time and the emblematic places of the town.
- 00002 - 33847 / Libro de Registro is a video art project that records a 67-hour reading of the list of the 33,847 people buried in the Valley of the Fallen.
