Mondo PíxelArsGames meetings keep digging into the language of videogames and their circumstances: their history, problems and future… But this time getting closer to their past. What makes a retro videogame remain valid, although it has been widely surpassed technologically? Does the retro make sense or is just a nostalgic fashion? As usual, a careful selection of experts, including members of Mondo Píxel – ArsGames, will discuss about this issue. The question is: Do we need to kill the past to build the future?

Since 2009 ArsGames and Mondo Pixel collaborate with Intermediæ through the Ayudas A La Creación program. Since then, they propose regular meetings, sometimes coordinated by Arsgames collective, and others by Mondo Pixel, bringing together professional and amateur artists working around the practice of Game Art, Game research on Game Studies and Art Theory.
