This exhibition, sponsored by Metro de Madrid, is an example of how war, or rather several wars, can destroy the lives of people who up to a few years ago enjoyed secure, stable lives.
Fifty images show what cameras capture in the various places refugees pass through. No holds barred, no special lighting. No changing the brightness or adjusting the colour. No technical or human methods that could possibly bring warmth to pictures that seem to leave us cold, when in fact they should have completely the opposite effect; they should horrify us, move us and push us into doing much more than just leaving a “like” on social media.
