SONGS FOR A REVOLUTION (CANTARES DE UNA REVOLUCIÓN)

Songs, words, places. Nacho Vegas goes through some of the most relevant events and places of Asturian workers and farmers´ revolt in October, 1934, last working class revolt in Western Europe, with folk music as a map and the words of Belarmino Tomás, president of the Third Revolutionary Committee (Tercer Comité Revolucionario) as a compas.
Ramón Lluís Bande
Born in Xixón, 1972, film maker and writer. Among his films are non-fiction El fulgor (2002), Estratexa (2003), De la Fuente (2004), El paisano, Un retratu colectivu (2005), La carta de Bárbara (2007), Equí y n’otru tiempu (2014), El nome de los árboles (2015), Vida vaquera (2016) o Escoréu, 24 d'avientu de 1937 (2017). Among his fictions: Malu (1999), L’aire les castañes (2001), Divina Lluz (2005) o Llar (2014) –in collaboration with Elisa Cepedal– He has directed musical films for Nacho Vegas, Manta Ray, Mus, Viva las Vegas, Nacho Álvarez o Losone, among others. In the last few years he has created and directed several documentaries for the Asturian public tv (RTPA), such as Camín de cantares (2007-2011), Camín (2012-2016), Ende (2012) –codirected with Luis Argeo–, Güelos (2014) or L’alzada (2015). He has been directing for over ten years the audiovisual magazine of the same channel on Asturian culture, Pieces. Over ten published books, a selection of his narrative, originally written in Asturian, have been translated into Spanish in the book Las habitaciones vacías (Caballo de Troya, 2010). His latest published books are Cuaderno del paisaje.
