This year’s line-up features performances (solos, duets, trios, etc.) by established and emerging choreographers, family activities, live music sessions with dancers, improvisations, and professional workshops, among other activities. In addition to its usual outdoor stage at Plaza Matadero, this edition introduces two indoor shows at Nave 11 in Centro Danza Matadero.

Cuerpo Romo ("Blunt Body") refers to the wear and tear of the body through contact with the ground. Dancing in an urban environment shapes a unique kind of dancer—one who adapts to the harshness of the asphalt, rounding out like a pebble. Malleability is a defining feature of contemporary dance, essential for performing outdoors, intervening in public spaces, and engaging directly with audiences. Cuerpo Romo speaks of a duality: wear and experience—the inevitable erosion of the body over time through friction with hard surfaces, alongside the process of forming a resilient and seasoned dancer.
