TABLAO CARMEN // SHAKESPEARE: EL DE LA TOTAL (TENSIÓN)

“The Tablaos of CARMEN // SHAKESPEARE have always been unfinished circumstances: performative impromptus, talks, trafficking in raw materials, thunderous tantrums, lilting fits, and all manner of impurities. Occasions of healthy degradation (“even lower down”), of temporary alliances with dust, with rats and with the vast rumble of shoes that thrives in the cracks between the boards”, is how playwright and dance theorist Roberto Fratini Serafide puts it.
  Yet in this TABLAO DE LA TOTAL (TENSION), Olga, Francisco, Carmen, Don José, the Toreadores, the Replicants, the Matadors and other guests are going to take unheard of risks to share a noisy Crash_Test* manufactured from the doubts and certainties accumulated during their working residency in Naves Matadero.
  Reclaiming the wreckage of the technological devices (scraps of the different scenic pieces in the CARMEN // SHAKESPEARE tetralogy and the exhibition-labyrinth Omens of Desire (presented in Madrid, in Tabacalera Promotion of Art during the summer of 2018), they will propose a series of narrative modules through which to share an event that is perhaps impossible to name: love.
  *CRASH-TEST: A critical resistance test performed with prototypes of self-propelled machines (cars, planes, trains,…). After analysing the most fragile places of impact, the crash-test makes it possible to strengthen the prototype.
