Type Directors Club is an international organization that supports and promotes excellence in typography, both printed and on screen. Founded in New York in 1946, TDC represents now the best typographic design and its applications.
Besides promoting competitions and educational activities (workshops, seminars, etc. ...), Type Directors Club organizes every year an annual exhibition that includes books and posters from around the world, selected for its Typographic Excellence.
Year after year, and this is the 56th, TDC receives thousands of jobs coming from over thirty countries and calls for an international jury. The result is always an exhibition of pieces with a common link: a mastery use of typography. Thus, it becomes a showcase of experiments, trends, great designs published all around the world and, on this on-line days, a tribute to paper and printing.
