Models, innovations, visualizations and music, experiments and graffiti, utopias, artifacts, theater and film at the disposal of a more cooperative and humane economy. The value of debate. Internet, science, design and rubbish working for the common good. We'll eat the day's harvest at the end. The audience will come up on the stage. There will be an hour of unconference so each audience member can hold their own conference on whatever topic inspires most passion in them. And there will also be a special web and mobile phone application so that the participants and presenters can communicate before, during and after the event.
TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) is an annual event where some of the most mportant thinkers and entrepreneurs in the world are invited to share what they feel most passionate about.
What is TEDx y TEDxMadrid? With the aim of spreading ideas that are really worth it, TED has created TEDx, a programme featuring local conferences organized independently to create an experience similar to that had at a TED conference. Our event is called TEDxMadrid, where the x equals TED organizado localmente. At our TEDx event, TED video viewings will be combined with live presenters, to promote a connection and a profound debate in a smaller group. TED gives those organizing TEDx events the general guidelines for putting on said events, but they are organized independently, which means that so was ours.
