Madrid Abierto is an international artistic interventions programme undertaken between 2002 and 2012 aimed at enabling public spaces. It encompasses contemporary art-based reflections on our political, social and cultural environment through symbolic yet practical works.   This documentary exhibition includes such interventions as Soy Madrid (I Am Madrid) by SIMON GRENNAN + CHRISTOPHER SPERANDIO, Explorando Usera (Exploring Usera) by LAHOSTIAFINEARTS (LHFA) and Unofficial Tourism by IÑAKI LARRIMBE.
The new project by IÑAKI LARRIMBE, Expotronik Souvenir’s, will also be presented, which follows the same style as his works on tourism and culture, closely linked to Madrid Abierto: Unofficial Tourism, Turismo raro (Weird Tourism) and Postal Freek. Together with the public presentation of Expotronik in Madrid, there will be guided tours along various routes included in Unofficial Tourism and Turismo raro.
