Following the 800 kilometres from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela, the traditional French Camino, the documentary explores the human side of the Camino, embarking viewers on a moving adventure of camaraderie, hospitality, honesty and overcoming adversity, all with a great sense of humour.

The Camino de Santiago has been the subject of uncountable news pieces, films and documentaries. However, it is not often dealt with in such an in-depth fashion, with such open-mindedness or such a detailed look at the motivations of those who make it possible: pilgrims, hospitaleros and volunteers.

Likewise, following 1,200 years of history, its heritage is being swamped by a growing "massification, commercialisation and banalisation" thanks to mass tourism which is less and less sensitive to its incalculable cultural legacy.
Walking the Camino! is a transcendent and respectful look at the transformative power of the Way of St. James through the personal experience of six pilgrims of different ages, nationalities and faiths.
