On your bike is a neo-folk band that formed in Madrid in the summer of 2009. Its members, Clara, Laura and Lucía, are three women with a great passion for music coming from other music groups and the visual arts to create this new music project: a special, direct and inviting cocktail of diverse influences including American folk, the acoustic rock of some of the best musicians and many other sources. Their acoustic melodic songs combine soft rhythms, sweet voices, guitars, violas, ukeleles, carillons and more. Their influences include classic figures such as Neil Young and contemporary groups like Kings of Convenience and Wilco.
They have performed at the Costello Club in Madrid, at the Dfest festival held in Matadero Madrid, at the Rincón del Arte Nuevo, at La Noche de los Libros and at Soul Station, among other venues, and they are now returning to Matadero to provide a soundtrack at Matadero’s summer terrace on the evening of 14 July. These women’s smooth, sweet and inviting acoustic music promises an evening you will never forget.
On your bike are: Laura Martínez Laín: composition, guitar and voice. Lucía Antonini: composition, guitar and voice. Clara Megías: arrangements, viola, carillon and melodica.
