Residency for Projects in Art and Education
The primary aim of this residency, which will be held within the facilities of Matadero Madrid, is to combine a process of reflection and investigation with the activation of a mediation, art, and education programme.
Projects may focus their research on mediation itself or, on the intersections between art and education. Alternatively, participants may propose mediation devices that reflect upon and respond to contemporary challenges such as bodily and/or affective-sexual dissidence; anti-racist activism; the climate crisis; the productivist and acceleracionist transformations of the labour market, or considerations on mental health.
Line 1
This line includes proposals — from the perspective of expanded mediation and art and education — that reflect on and respond to the contemporary urgencies of our time, such as bodily and/or affective-sexual dissidences; anti-racist activism; the climate emergency; productivist and accelerationist transformations in the world of labor; or issues surrounding mental health.
Line 2
This line includes projects whose research focuses on mediation itself and the intersections between art and education.
