SIX-MONTH RESIDENCIES FOR VISUAL ARTISTS
The Centre for Artists in Residence at Matadero Madrid is launching this public call for proposals to offer four visual artists based in the Community of Madrid access to workspaces, financial resources, tools, professional monitoring, institutional backing, and visibility.
The aim of this programme is to promote the professional development of plastic and visual artists based in the Community of Madrid by providing them with institutional support, a workspace, and financial resources to facilitate their artistic production. It is furthermore designed to create both a support system that fosters the development of projects in the best possible conditions, and connections between the various players in the region’s art scene, the institution, and the public.
The residents are supported by an advisory team consisting of curator and art critic Bea Espejo and artist Antonio Ballester Moreno.
