Gente que miente

4FAIT is the second album from 'Gente que miente', with a range of laid-back styles to listen to while you grab a toastie on the ski slope before you whiz off

4FAIT is the second album from Gente que miente. It’s whipped cream, breakfast, a world record, a photo of your first communion and the 1972 Olympic Games. The idea behind this new album is to continue experimenting with hybrid genres, consolidating our style and building a musical identity based very much on electronica, but permeated by more analogue elements. Vocal layers as a rhythmic component, the prominence of percussion instruments and the use of the Spanish guitar are some of the aspects we explore in this new phase of our musical journey.
We want to break away from more conventional song structures to explore other ways of arranging our compositions. 4FAIT will be an album of contrasts, quite minimalist in its content. It will lead us to a universe of winter sports, the first race ever run, bright futures.

Biography
Gente que miente is a band from Madrid set up in 2022 by Paz Alberta and Clau. We explore electronic music with a style that encompasses pop, urban, R&B to low-fi, among others. Paz Alberta studied piano and music theory at the ABRSM while Clau studied guitar and singing at the School of Creative Music in Madrid.
Our compositions and creative processes are based on humour and experimentation. No sooner had we released our first co-production, Normales y actuales (Normal and Current), than we embarked on our second project: 4FAIT.

The duo are recipients of the Musical Production Residency for Bands and Solo Artists at the Matadero Madrid Centre for Artists in Residence.
