Liwai

The Liwai team is made up of multidisciplinary professionals of Chinese origin. The Liwai residency project endeavours to create spaces for gathering, reflection and creation for and by residents in Madrid of Chinese origin, taking as a starting point the unique characteristics of the individuals and the heterogenic nature of the community, with a diverse range of initiatives in culture, art, education, and social fields.

The Liwai team consists of working groups with a focus on various lines of research, including art, performance, intercultural mediation (IM), and the empowerment of young Chinese generations. 

The projects the team will undertake during their residency in 2021–2022 include:

• Cangrejo Pro Project
• A self-starter group for young artists of Chinese origin
• Platform for intercultural meditators of Chinese origin
• Support group for Chinese teenagers
• 2nd Women Women Meeting - Chinese Diaspora Network
