The Festival Conciencia Afro (Afro Conscience) is intended to be a space for encounter and to make visible the reality of the Afro-descendent, African and black community in Spain through their culture; a festival that brings together politics, aesthetics, music, entrepreneurship or education, where participants and organisers belong to the Afro-descendent community resident in Spain.
The main axes of the festival are to gather and celebrate, along with the opening of old and new debates around our identities. It will focus on the idea of History after the editions of Negritud (Blackness) and Comunidad (Community)
Some of the confirmed participants of this year will be Nakany Kante, Nsang, Arianna Puello, Trifonia Melibea, Antumi Toasijé, Edmundo Sepa, or Gorsy Edu.
The Festival Consciencia Afro will include workshops, concerts, theatre, cinema, talks, flea market, debate. It will be a meeting point, to celebrate and learn, where the main premise is that AFRO IS IN THE SPOTLIGHT
