El Ranchito welcomes, from May 16 till June 12, the artist Begoña Morales, of Lima. The curator and El Ranchito work group member Iván López Munuera will be her host, aiding her to make contacts in the cultural community of Madrid.
Morales does her current work in Mexico, focusing her interest on a number of concepts she's elaborated based on her search for synergy between natural forces and architecture, conveying powerful symbolism in the spaces she creates.
Tuesday, June 7 a public presentation of Begoña Morales's work and a chat with Iván López Munuera will be held at El Taller at Matadero Madrid.
Morales is also a partipating artist in the Museo Carrillo Gil of Mexico D.F.'s Young Artists Archive. This creators archive will be visiting Madrid in the summer months, June through September, overseen by its curator Ruth Estévez. On June 15, Ruth Estévez presents the archive at El Taller at Matadero Madrid, giving the people of Madrid the chance to familiariza themselves with young Mexican artists and the work they are interested in.
