Encantados (Bewitched) is an ongoing project by Ricardo Teles who has been working on it for over 10 years. Teles is a Brazilian photojournalist, awarded with the Sony Awards for Travel, by the World Press Organization or the New Holland for Photojournalism. Teles portraits the essence of Afro-Brazilian parties and traditions that connect human beings with their spirituality and beliefs. From Bahía, Maranhão or Minas Gerais, he has managed to immortalize shamanism which goes beyond time and mankind; water, fire, the earth that will dry up the blood and the immense diversity of interpretations of the African origins of the Brazilian culture. Moments in history.
