More than three thousand figures and over two hundred scenes from a myriad of countries across the globe come together at the Evening of Light, an exhibition of nativity scenes of every type, creator and style.

Ranging from the simple animist style of the African nativity scenes to the contained and palpable spirituality of the Asian and Pacific ones, and from the ingenuity and indigenous style of the North American nativity scenes to the extraordinary, multicoloured designs of those of Central and South America whose roots are undeniably Spanish, a field in which Peru and Mexico really stand out. And from Europe, the marvellous Italian, Sicilian, Polish, Czech, Slovak, German, French, Danish, Swiss and Russian nativity scenes, as well as the obligatory presence of those from Spain and Portugal.

Closed 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January.
