Fall Family Program at Matadero

From September to December 2025

We kick off the autumn season with a free play space where children can imagine and build with the wooden pieces, fabrics, clothespins, and ropes of El Gran Convoy—recently restored—which will be set up in Nave Una alongside the wooden modules of Microarchitectures. Later, in November, we will offer a sensory exploration space exclusively for babies, designed to stimulate their senses.

During the L.E.V. Festival, there will be two activities for all audiences: an interactive installation and an augmented reality experience. At the Animario Festival, we will explore sound stamping and collective abstract animation in a series of workshops.

To make the most of the season’s abundant natural resources, we will continue revisiting traditional trades linked to the river with the agroART Workshops, where we will become leaf weavers, craft gourd lamps, and create magical Minimundos. At Verberecho, we will learn how to build a shelter as a way to spark conversations about animal diversity through each participant’s creativity.

We will also enjoy the final performance of Escaramuza Fluorescente: a newly premiered musical show for the whole family, accompanied by a set design workshop in which children will take part in designing the stage scenery. This performance will include sign language interpretation for the Deaf community. And of course, family-friendly morning film screenings will run throughout the trimester.
