Open Studio Day – November 2025

Located in Nave 16 at Matadero Madrid, the Artistic Residencies Centre is a shared workspace where artists and cultural agents develop and exchange research and creative processes. Throughout the year, various activities reveal what happens behind the scenes, but it is during the Open Studio Day that all residents open their doors to share their work directly with the public.

This upcoming edition will feature the eight quarterly Art and Environment residents — Daniel de La Barra, Tania Blanco, Antonio Guerra, Miguel Guevara Parra, Juan Herranz, and Manuela Inclán, along with the collective Nucbeade, Emma Prats, and Pablo Sanz Almoguera. Also participating are Kyria Libia, resident in electronic music; Costa Badía, resident in art and education; and the associations Debajo del sombrero and AMECUM.

The day’s program will include artist project presentations, sound activations, performative lectures, small exhibitions, and a concert. In addition, the advisory team for the Art and Environment residencies — artist Bárbara Fluxá and curators Gabriel Alonso and Virginia Torrente — will lead two guided visits during the event.
