REPLICAGE

 What would happen if you were able to design and build a mobile phone in your own home, or that part for the hoover that keeps breaking, or design and produce a system that manages your domestica appliances from a remote control?

Although this may seem like science fiction, it isn´t, we are experiencing a change in methods of production and in products produced as the demands of our lifestyles change. Technology becomes increasingly more accessible, allowing us to develop appliances that were previously inconvievable. We are entering a era in which self-production of materals and products could be possible, and this is just the start.

Replicage is structured to promote interaction between the design community and FabLabs; communities that share their experiences and discoveries openly and that have the capacity to revolutionise the way that we concieve the production of object; and to promote a dialogue between the production and consumption, indunstry and commerce and as we understand it today.

Who is for?

Replicage invites all designers, inventers, entrepreneurs, manufacturers and makers to activily participate in this multi-event, because the future will be designed together.
