SPIROU IN MADRID

From May 11 to July 11, 2017 Casa del Lector (Reader's House) will hold the exhibiton “Spirou en Madrid”. It is an homage to the character that has been written and drawn by so many artists throughout the las four decades and who is one of the core subjects of the French-Belgian comic school.
  This exhibition at Casa del Lector serves as vehicle to develop a series of activities around intergenerational readings, the sparkle of creativity amongst the younger and the dialogue with profesionals of cartoon. 
  The initiative is a collaboration of Dibbuks Publishers and the Fundación Germán Sánchez Ruipérez and it follows the same pattern of former editions in other cities in Spain since 2015, which consists of a call for illustrators everywhere to join the homage to the character initially designed  by Frankin.
  Spirou en Madrid is possible thanks to the participation of professional designers and young artists from all over Spain, with slight majority of Madrileans. The altruistic contribution of participants will be joint by the works from the workshops that will take place at Casa del Lector. For that reason there will be a few empty walls reserved for the future inclusion of the new creations.
  Parents that were kids in the 70s bring back those memories with their children.
