Piano City. Clara Lai

Piano City comes to Madrid for the first time to celebrate the European Day of Music. The program at Matadero kicks off with a performance by pianist and composer Clara Lai. Interested in exploring subtle bridges between improvisation and composition. She studied classical piano with a specialization in contemporary repertoire and also obtained a higher degree in jazz piano. She currently lives in Barcelona, where she participates in different jazz, improvised and experimental music projects. 

About Piano City
Between June 17 and 19 the piano will be the protagonist of 60 free concerts scattered throughout the city both in outdoor environments and in some of the most representative spaces of the capital. Organized by TopArtEspaña, with the collaboration of the Culture, Tourism and Sport Area, this meeting also has the artistic advice of the pianist Chano Domínguez from Cadiz.
