MATADERO MADRID CENTRE FOR CONTEMPORARY CREATION Publications
OUR PUBLICATIONS
MATADERO MADRID
What fundamental questions articulate our present and prefigure our future?

How do we construct relevant discourses for an inclusive and transformative culture from artistic practices and critical theory?  The essays in the Matadero Critical Studies series, the reflections on interdisciplinary artistic practices and the Matadero Madrid exhibition catalogues seek to help extend the research carried out by the centre and by the creators and their collaborators who gather here.

Freeport is a creative research project for a world of humans, non-humans and machines. Led by artists, it is conceived as a series of studio and production modules that combine artistic methodologies with radical design practices, critical technologies, new audiovisual languages and the cultural ferments of Internet communities. This publication is a working tool that compiles the notes, intuitions and prototypes of this course. In our Digital Media Library you have available for download:
